Janet Grab | Branding & Website Build

Problem: Having initially developed her website as a personal biography project whilst working with major production studios such as Abbey Road, Warner Bros and Universal Pictures amongst others on lengthy projects the client wanted to expand the scope of her freelancing work with an updated, full featured and mobile-device optimised website. The impetus for the re-brand came about as the client is now being represented by Air Edel Associates Limited, which comes with media exposure and high traffic to her website.

Solution: A fully developed, professional and personal identity including a fully responsive website that does not present the client as a huge corporate or studio, but as an independent, highly qualified and diverse specialist in her field.

Highlights: The most fun-fact is the use of the 'blackest black' possible within onscreen colour palette display capability. Creating a beautiful identity that really reflects who the client is as an individual and showcasing her talent and skill she is also a joy to work with as a client, providing the site content before the design process even started!

It was important to create a responsive Logo System so that the logo can be used across multiple channels for both marketing and supplying credit files in various formats where the client has worked on a production.
_
The Font Family Expressway – from one of our other clients, The Northern Block – works beautifully for the vision of a very minimalistic black & white logotype in multiple formats.
_
We created a big 'wow effect' by displaying the beautiful images in full – we programmed/developed the homepage in a manner where the logo is ’hanging’ on the bottom on all devices on all screen sizes.

In the wild:
After her first IRL meeting it become clear that good looking business cards are still needed to hand over to potential future clients and for networking. A good thing we developed a full identity from the get-go and not 'just' a website.
