Bahamas 16 Weddings

What we did: UX design, navigation architecture, competition workflow, microsite build,
search engine optimisation (SEO), social media integration.

Highlights: The Travel Marketing Awards 2012 ‘Most Innovative Marketing Award’ First Place Silver Standard was awarded to the ‘Bahamas 16 Islands Wedding Invitation’ campaign. The Travel Marketing Awards were created by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group, CIMTIG.

The Bahamas Tourist Office, Goldsmiths and Kuoni sponsored the simultaneous weddings of 16 couples on the 16th of May 2012 on 16 different islands, raising awareness of the Bahamas as a wedding venue and what different islands can offer visitors.

User generated video and image content (UGC) drove the campaign with online and text voting to select the competition winners.

Working with FKC London on the design, on-IDLE programmed a unique video player and built the content managed microsite to cope with the various stages of a competition - from call to entries, through to submissions, semi-finalists, finalists and winners. 

Commissioned and designed by Fox Kalomaski Crossing, an on-IDLE customer since 2002.
